Terms of Service

Welcome to SpesaZen. By using the SpesaZen application ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using SpesaZen, you represent that you:
- Are at least 13 years old
- Have the legal capacity to accept these Terms
- Fully accept the conditions described here
If you are using SpesaZen on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
SpesaZen is a shopping list management application with:
- Offline functionality — the database is local on your device
- Optional cloud synchronization — via a registered account
- Encrypted backups — export and import of data in
.szonformat - Premium features — optional, available via subscription
3. Account
3.1 Registration
You can use SpesaZen without an account (local-only mode). For cloud synchronization, you must create an account with a valid email address.
3.2 Account security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- All activities performed under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@spesazen.com
3.3 Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion is permanent and results in the removal of all associated cloud data within 30 days.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Freemium model
SpesaZen offers free features and optional premium features. Free features have no usage limits.
4.2 Premium Subscription
Premium features (e.g., multi-device cloud synchronization) are available via monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time purchase ("Lifetime"), purchased through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
4.3 Billing and renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically upon expiration
- Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before renewal through the store settings
- We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods, except as otherwise required by law
4.4 Pricing
Prices are indicated in the store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change prices with prior notice.
4.5 Refund policy
For refunds, please refer to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store policy. In case of technical problems directly attributable to SpesaZen, contact us at support@spesazen.com.
5. Data and Backups
5.1 Ownership of your data
The data you enter into SpesaZen (products, lists, etc.) remains your property. We claim no rights over it.
5.2 Backup responsibility
You are responsible for regularly backing up your data. SpesaZen provides tools for exporting (encrypted .szon files) but does not guarantee continuous availability of the cloud service.
5.3 Data loss
We are not responsible for data loss caused by:
- App uninstallation without a backup
- Device malfunctions
- Cloud service interruptions
6. User Conduct
It is forbidden to use SpesaZen for:
- Illegal or fraudulent activities
- Attempting to access other users' data
- Reverse engineering or decompiling the app
- Overloading our services with excessive automated requests
7. Intellectual Property
SpesaZen, its logo, source code, and original content are owned by SpesaZen and protected by copyright laws. You are not permitted to:
- Reproduce or distribute the app without authorization
- Create derivative works based on SpesaZen without written permission
User-entered data remains the property of the user.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- SpesaZen is provided "as is" without warranties of continuous availability or absence of errors
- We are not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or loss of profits arising from the use of the Service
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months
Nothing in these Terms limits your consumer rights under Italian and European law.
9. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice
- Update these Terms; in case of material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service in case of a serious violation of these Terms. In such an event, you will have the right to export your data before final account closure (unless prohibited by law).
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.
11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Italian law.
For any dispute regarding the use of SpesaZen, the parties commit to first seeking an amicable solution. Failing an agreement, the competent court is that of the consumer's domicile, in accordance with Italian consumer protection laws.
